Nidhi Bhatia
My work explores the subtle spectrum of human emotions such as gratitude, contentment, and love through introspection and meditative expression. Each piece unfolds as a conceptual narrative, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and connect with stories that echo the quiet beautyof inner awareness and shared emotional landscapes.

Nidhi's journey
I’m Nidhi Bhatia, an artist whose journey from the world of computer engineering to the expressive realm of art has been as dynamic and evolving as my work itself. After earning mydegree in Computer Engineering from GBPUAT, Pantnagar, I spent over 15 years in variousroles within the corporate world. In 2016, I chose to follow a deeper calling and transitioned intoa full-time art practice—a journey of self-discovery that continues to unfold.
To strengthen my foundation, I pursued a six-month intensive course at Chitrakala Parishath, where I explored and refined techniques across multiple mediums. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of showcasing my work at several prestigious exhibitions across India and internationally, along with taking on commissioned projects for clients both in India and abroad.
I’ve been selected to participate in the Chitra Santhe Annual Art Fair for eight consecutive years (2018–2024), and have shown my work at events like the AHH Art for All Festival atFreedom Park, Bangalore (2024), Ganesha Chitra Mahotsav, IIWC (2024) My group exhibitions include AKANKSHA at Chitrakala Parishath, Bangalore (June 2018, August 2021,March 2023), the National Art Contest and Exhibition at Chitrakala Parishath (2023), and theMumbai Art Fair organized by India Art Festival (October 2022). I’ve also exhibited in Rasa atArtizen Gallery, Delhi (August 2019), curated by the Merakki Art Group, and in Festival D’Arte(Monochromatic) at Chitrakala Parishath (November 2019).
My recent most exhibition AVYANNA - 2025 ( March ‘25 ) presented by Oorja Expressions atBIC Bangalore has been a big success and viewers were able to connect with my latest series‘Between Silence and Light’

Artistic Process
I approach my work with careful thought and preparation, mostly not jumping directly onto the canvas.
My process begins with extensive creative thinking, in-depth self-study on the subject or theme, followed by numerous rough sketches to explore the underlying concept. As the work evolves, I gradually integrate the technical aspects of visual arts—line, value, color, edges, and space—into these sketches. This careful refinement leads to more concrete thumbnails, which are then developed through tonal studies and color theory to bring the final vision to life.
My work is deeply influenced by metaphors, both abstract and tangible, to tell a visual story. I often incorporate symbols such as keys, doors, mazes, butterflies, and birds, as well as exploring the expressive gestures of hands. These elements allow me to weave layers of meaning into my compositions
Once these initial explorations are complete, I select the strongest concepts to develop further. Though I start with concrete planning and a vision in mind, my style remains fluid and evolving.I am open to experimentation, often incorporating mixed media and diverse tools to achieve my envisioned outcome. Created from imagination, my paintings unfold slowly, growing and evolving on the canvas.
The composition of my work invites the viewer to experience a sense of calm, balance, and spiritual harmony, blending stillness with the flow of energy.
